Terms of Service
Last updated: September 27, 2026
1. Who you’re dealing with
Linesman is provided by Giorgi Mazm (Germany). By installing Linesman on your Shopify store you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
Linesman looks for bot checkouts, card testing and fake customer accounts, can block suspicious checkouts at Shopify’s payment step when you turn blocking on, and helps you clean up fake customers. It starts in Watch mode, which never blocks anything.
3. No guarantee that every bot is stopped
Bots change constantly. Linesman reduces bot activity but can’t promise to stop every bot, every card-testing attempt or every fake account, and it can’t prevent fraud or chargebacks in general. It’s designed to never block real customers, but no automated system is perfect. Review the Activity page and the allow list, and tell us right away if a real customer was blocked.
4. Your decisions
- You choose the protection mode, Attack mode, allow and block lists, and the message shown at checkout. You’re responsible for them.
- Deleting customers can’t be undone. Linesman only deletes customers with no orders, asks you to confirm first, and offers a CSV backup. You confirm each cleanup.
- You’re responsible for telling your shoppers, in your store’s privacy policy, that you use a fraud and bot protection service.
5. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, at the price shown in the app and on the App Store listing. You can cancel any time by changing plans or uninstalling. Shopify’s billing and refund rules apply.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Linesman to discriminate against shoppers on protected grounds, to break the law, or to reverse-engineer or overload the service.
7. Service provided “as is”
Linesman is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. If Linesman’s servers are down, checkout keeps working: the checkout guard is designed to let orders through when it can’t decide.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for lost sales, lost profits, lost data or indirect damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for Linesman in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending the service
You can uninstall at any time; the checkout guard is removed with the app and your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may end or change the service with reasonable notice, or immediately if you break these terms.
10. Changes and contact
We’ll update the date above when these terms change and tell you in the app if the change matters. Questions: [email protected].
